Press Here to Start Publishing is all about kids. It’s about the books kids like to read and the stories they like to write. Founded in 2013 by author Pat Skene, we are located in Oakville Ontario. We publish books for children that inspire imagination and creativity. 

The name, Press Here to Start, was taken from Pat’s award-winning picture book, The Whoosh of Gadoosh. That phrase played an important role in her children’s story, as a symbol of empowerment and learning how to have fun. How appropriate that Pat should use those same words to establish her own independent publishing company.
