Top 10 Reasons to be Back at School

Hey kids! I know you are all very excited to be back in a new school year.
Here are some great reasons to celebrate!

1. You get to give your bathing suit a chance to dry out.

2. You get to brag about your summer.

3. You get to size up your new teacher.

4. You get to laugh at lunchtime, until milk runs out of your nose.

For the past 2 years, I've held a writing contest at St. Matthew Catholic Elementary School in Oakville.

This is a picture of me with the kids in the gym last month.

The contest was open to all students in grades 4, 5 and 6. The only rule  was that all entries must be a complete story, with a beginning, a middle and an end. Read more about In the Spotlight!
